Koʻolauloa Coastline, 2022
Cement 22’’ x 24’’ x 37’’
Part of the series Salt, Motion, and Transformation, this work captures the fragile contours of the Koʻolauloa coastlines—areas increasingly threatened by coastal erosion. Using topographical maps as reference, the coastline was first sculpted in clay, then molded in plaster, and finally cast in cement.
